Saturday, May 7, Fulcrum Technologies was present at the Haiti Babi "Raising Hope" charity event in Seattle to present a (giant) check, enjoy the festivities and participate in the auction in a variety of ways. O Wines, Gamache Vintners, Proletariat, Pearl & Stone Wine Co., Stoup Brewing, and Dry Sparkling were all pouring amazing wines and beverages, while Manu's Bodega and Theo Chocolates provided some tasty foods.
Fulcrum Employees in Gurgaon took to the town, sampling great local cuisines at various Indian restaurants, dancing to American dance music (Amit was the life of the party and Khartik was like watching John Travolta!), and taking in a cricket match between the Delhi Daredevils, and the Mumbai Indians.
Susan is not just a genius at ALM, but also snowflakes as well - orchestrating some brilliant cut-outs with many of the Seattle Fulcrum employees... and also surprised everyone with a giant cheese spread to encourage their creativity. The final pieces included some awesome Star Wars flakes based on the awesome patterns by Anthony Herrera, and the entire lot has made the HQ main entry much more festive!
Two Fulcrum-ites got a chance to try a futuristic mini-car in Delhi:
Qutub Minar, at 74 meters, is the tallest brick minaret in the world, and the second tallest minar in India after Fateh Burjat Mohali. Qutub Minar, along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it, form the Qutb Complex, which is aUNESCO World Heritage Site. The tower is located in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. Made of red sandstone and marble, Qutub Minar is a 73 meter tall tapering tower with a diameter measuring 14.32 meters at the base and 2.75 meters at the peak.
Diwali (Dīvali, Dīpāwali, or Deepavali) is a festival of lights observed on the 15th day of the month of Kartika in the Hindu calendar. Many people in Canada celebrate Diwali each year. Diwali is also known as the "Festival of Lights".
Prakash brought his daughter to work, along with some home-made Indian desserts for everyone to sample. She refused all offers to become our newest intern, however.
Fulcrum was at the Seattle Mustache Dache 2015, November 8, 2015 at Magnuson Park - Ran it, Got the tShirt, and even rode the mechanical bull at the end! (Lisa on the bull in photo below):
Its a (very) mixed bag at Fulcrum on Halloween. and you REALLY never know what type of costume you will see appearing at the main corporate office!
The Development Team is sporting a slew of brand new CATS hoodies:
Fulcrum's Paul Haury is one of 17 people on earth blessed with super powered hypersensitive sensory input receptors. If it involves color, taste, visuals, etc... he is like the Princess and the Pea, and is able to precisely pinpoint every single sensory input nuance even in a cacophony of of flavors or color or music or (most forms of) interpretive dance. His abilities are so super human that artists and foodies will likely sing songs about him for generations. At least 3 baristas have named their kids after him (which hopefully is due to his culinary discernment skills), and he is often requested to sign autographs when recognized on the street.
It is a rarity for young Paul to give any coffee shop his blessing, but he has done so with Herkimer Coffee, a favorite haunt of Fulcrum employees in the Seattle world headquarters. He often displays the XX "Most Interesting Man in the world" facial expressions, saying "I don't always drink coffee, but when I do... I drink Herkimer's...".
They DO make a thing of beauty:
Lisa demonstrates the dare that all new hires have to do at Fulcrum - touching the middle ball of the fountain at the Seattle Center, 53% of those who attempt it get soaked beyond all comprehension by a water cannon, but its well worth it, Fulcrum rocks! (No Lisa's were harmed in the production of this dare...) #FUNWITHAPURPOSE
You can usually find a few Fulcrum employees at pretty much any sporting event in Seattle, which is always the case with home games for the Seattle Seahawks.
At Fulcrum, we work hard, and we play hard. The broken paddle is evidence of that!
